This system is particularly useful where a number of drivers are using a pool of vehicles and/or where agency drivers are employed regularly.
Each driver is allocated a coded key. The key is placed against a sensor on the dashboard which recognises and records the identification of the driver on the system at the start and end of a journey.
With more and more companies having to call on agency staff, it has become increasingly necessary to monitor the hours worked by individual drivers within a specified period in order to comply with the European Working Time Directive.
